Who We Are

At The Springs Counselling & Family Mediation Service, we offer a holistic, trauma-informed approach to supporting families and individuals through conflict, transition, and emotional challenges. Our service is built on two equally important pillars: Family Mediation and Integrative Psychotherapy, both designed to promote healing, clarity, and constructive change.

The Springs Team consists of Nicola Lucas, a Family Mediator with a specialist background in domestic abuse advocacy, our mediation service provides Initial Assessments and tailored sessions—including pet mediation—to help families navigate separation, co-parenting, and relational breakdowns. Mediation is delivered with empathy, structure, and a deep understanding of the emotional complexities involved.

Equally central to our practice is the work of our Integrative Psychotherapist, Courteney Lucas who offers both one-to-one therapy and relationship counselling. This therapeutic support is available as a standalone service or in collaboration with mediation, ensuring emotional wellbeing is prioritised throughout. Whether clients are seeking to explore personal challenges, strengthen their relationship, or process difficult transitions, therapy is an integral part of the support we provide.

We also offer a Positive Parenting Course, which can be accessed independently or alongside mediation and therapy. The course supports parents and children in building harmonious relationships and helps co-parents work consistently together to create a stable, nurturing daily life for their children.

At The Springs, we believe that emotional support and conflict resolution go hand in hand. Whether you're navigating separation, rebuilding relationships, or seeking a more peaceful family dynamic, our integrated service is here to guide you with compassion and clarity.
